The Ultimate Xbox 360 Accessories!

When you get your Xbox 360 console, you should be more than thrilled to get your gaming on because you have the entire package with a game controller and cables. If you got the Xbox 360 Elite, you should even feel more complete because you get a few extras in the package as well. The Xbox 360 even comes with great games to keep you really busy. Of course, you need to have a TV and an HDTV will greatly improve your experience.

While a TV is essential, it’s certainly not the only accessory you’ll need in order to take your gaming experience to the next level, because there are also many other Xbox 360 accessories available. While some accessories have been designed to expand the Xbox 360’s capabilities, others have been designed to improve the gaming experience in general. You should however bear in mind that certain accessories are manufactured by third party companies and as a result, some of them may not perform as you would expect them to. You may however wish to consider those which are mentioned in this article.

As you will have noticed, the Xbox 360 only comes with one controller, irrespective of what edition you bought. Obviously if you only have one system and you want to play competitive games with additional players, you’ll need to buy more controllers. However, whether you opt for wired or wireless controllers, the Xbox 360 is only capable of handling four controllers.

Not only are the original black or white controllers a much higher quality than those which have been manufactured by third party companies, but you’re also guaranteed that they’ll be compatible with all computers using the Microsoft Windows operating system.

While the controllers are able to operate the Xbox 360 interface completely, you can be rest assured that your life will be much easier if you get the universal media remote, particularly if you use your Xbox 360 as a digital media system on a frequent basis. Furthermore, not only can the remote operate several TV’s but it can also be used for any computers which are powered by Windows Media Center. In fact, because it has all the regular buttons, the remote can also be used for playing games.

With so many people using their Xbox 360 for online gaming, it only stands to reason than many of these gamers also like to chat. As a result Microsoft went ahead and launched the Xbox 360 Messenger kit alongside the ever popular Windows Live Messenger. Microsoft also took into consideration that not everyone has a USB keyboard, or if they do, they may not have sufficient space to set it up and in order to get around this problem, they included a handy feature known as “ChatPad”, which coincidentally is also ideal for quick messaging.

In order to allow for voice chat during game play, the kit includes a wired headset which connects to the Chatpad. Interestingly enough, this will also allow you to take advantage of certain games which have voice recognition built in. Of course, if you feel you don’t need the Chatbox, then there is also a wireless headset available.

Please don’t for a minute think that the accessories which have been mentioned in this article are the only accessories available. To the contrary, there are numerous other accessories available which you can view on the Xbox 360 website. Always remember however, it’s in your own best interest to only purchase accessories which are licensed by Microsoft.
